100% Loden wool – Romania
Our loden is a 100% natural, undyed wool material, sourced from sheep in the Austrian mountains. The exceptionally dense weave of the wool fibres makes the material both durable and functional. It is water-repellent, wind-resistant, breathable, as well as odour- and flame-resistant.Colours starting with 'pure' are undyed and unbleached, allowing the natural colour of the fibre to remain unchanged – offered entirely as found in nature, with every variation in tone and perfect imperfection this entails. The wool is a specialised material developed by Austrian Steiner1888, who for more than 130 years has worked innovatively with traditional craftsmanship and uncompromising, natural materials of the highest quality.
